Much as this chap has taken Kenyan hiphop by storm in 2012, someone asked me why he doesn’t seem to be releasing his videos “strategically” for the continental award ceremonies. [Case in point: Channel O Music Video Awards.]
My take: Octopizzo is loving his craft. He’s not after the awards - even though they’d be a welcome plus. He just wants his work out there. And he wants his fans to enjoy his music.
I’m not complaining.
Also, he goes on like this, the awards will chase after him. Just you wait.

New Video Alert: Muthoni The Drummer Queen - Feelin’ It.

First, the launch to this video last Friday night was quite the affair.
MuthoniDQ invited a select few personalities and fans to witness the launch on an evening dubbed “Night of the SuperHeroes.”
And wasn’t she the star.
Throughout the movie, my mind couldn’t move away from the video that I’d just watched.
“But it’s The Dark Knight Rises! Why would you say that?”
I’m glad you asked:
- The Dark Knight Rises, for all the reviews it’s received and all it’s billed to be, was an absolutely rubbish piece of cinematography. But more on that later.
- Have you watched that Feelin’ It video? No really, watch it again. I’m told the camera used is one of those Hollywood-types. True story, Hence the supreme quality.
Long story short:
I approve this message.
